Wheel of Fortune

Zhao Ming Jun

I have repainted it with mainly a tricolour scheme consisting of golds, metallic red, dark purple, and black. I have added some simple pla plates on the shield as well as some minor scribing. I have masked the parts so that the vents are metallic and that there will be a contrast between the flat solid colour as well as the shiny metallics. The kit was meant to represent the 10th tarot card, the titular Wheel of fortune. It is supposed to represent the change as it is an experimental weapon that gives them the opportunity to turn the tides of war, the meaning of the upright wheel of fortune. It also signifies bad luck, disappointment and misfortune for the enemy which is also the reversed reading of the card. I made a small diorama for it that is supposed to signify it coming out of a lunar hangar base with the cotton representing smoke. The area is made with styrofoam and painted with black and grey primer to represent the cold harsh environment of the moon. The broken bits of debris as well as the crater that has formed from its awakening, showing only the slightest fraction of its true capability as it is only armed with one weapon. The back of the Gundam has the markings on the wheel of fortune and an X, representing 10 as it is the 10th tarot card.

The title of the work, "Wheel of Fate," is well expressed by the radially colored paint job on the Gundam, but the rubble spreading out from the feet is arranged in a messy manner, so let's attempt a layout that emphasizes the Gundam with a placement and finish commensurate with its title.
