General diorama is inspired by the foxholes and trenches used during winter in WW2 Battle of the Bulge (Bastogne), where artillary shellings can catch soldiers off guard and potentially lose their appendages or lives
The gundams in general are weathered acrylic paint for the heavier mud of some streaks along with some weathering pigments that highlights the gundams detail edges with mud, soot and snow. Panel line is done with Tamiya panel accent and enamel thinner to clean the panel lines. A dark green grey acrylic wash on the general body
1996 HG Gundam Ground Type, Masking is done on the to replicate the chest vents, eyes and machine gun ammo pack.
The 2018 Gundam Ground Type hiding in the trench with beam rifle has a modified head to use the optional head parts of the 1996 ver.
Gundam getting hit by the mortar explosion has its right feet and arm blown off, with some wires and cut plaplate to show mechanical interior damage, and has a heavier dark greenish grey wash.
Explosion is done with a wire frame to shape the explosion, old mattress cotton wool, styrofoam base to hold the wire frame. Yellow Led strips (Direct Circuit 24v) are used inside in a n shape. Explosion is spray painted with steel (substitute for dark grey) and grey primer. The power source is stored below the above ground and connected to a plug.
Landscape terrain is done with wood as the base, foam for the rough layout, clay to make the terrain more natural and using AK Terrains light earth for the rockier sections and dark earth for the flatter/forest terrains. Terrain is painted in acrylic dark greenish brown or different variations of mixtures (more white or darker). Terrain is covered in AK Terrains snow. Small rocks are added by scenic cement on areas such as the trench, gundam and the explosion.
Trees are make with woodland scenics tree frame (pine) and leaves of 2 kinds are secured with hob e tac adhesive and are covered mildly with the snow used on the terrain

The work has a sense of dynamism due to the difference in elevation of the terrain.
On the other hand, the poses of the individual Gundam Ground Type do not vary much, so it is better to add a sense of narrative to the scene by giving each of them a role to play and expressing them as if they were actors acting in a scene.
