GUNPLA BUILDERS WORLD CUP 11th TOURNAMENT World Finals

Application Eligibility

• Individuals residing in the area/region where the contest is to be held at the time of application are eligible.
• Applicants must be able to participate in the World Finals on December 16th, 2023 (JST). Please note that you will be required to show your face. (A separate consent form must be signed prior to participation.)
• Minors must have the consent of their parents or guardians to enter the competition.
• Both professional and amateur applicants are eligible.

Application Rules (for the World Competition)

• All applications must consist of genuine GUNPLA kits.
• If our company determines that submitted works fall under the prohibitions and/or use prohibited parts, they may be deemed ineligible for judging (The relevant parts may be excluded from scoring.) or disqualified.
• If non-genuine GUNPLA kits are used for submitted works, they must be declared in the prescribed format at the time of application.
• Submitted works with invalid declarations (including the lack of declarations) may be ineligible for judging (The relevant parts may be excluded from scoring.) or disqualified.
• Handcrafted dioramas can be used. However, if our company determines that objects used for the dioramas, such as figures or containers, fall under the prohibited items, the submitted work may be deemed ineligible for judging (The relevant parts may be excluded from scoring.) or disqualified.
• Figure-rise Effect series and Customize Scene Base/Effect Series items may be used.
• It is possible to use the runners of genuine GUNPLA kits, plastic plates and putties for genuine GUNPLA kits. In addition, it is possible to use materials other than genuine GUNPLA kits if they have been processed in such a way that they do not preserve their original form.
• The World Finals may be held online (photo judging).

  *The format of each area/regional tournament will differ depending on the area.

• Only works created by the applicant will be accepted.
• Only one application per person will be accepted.

  *Images of your application are required for entry.

• The size of the submitted work must be 50 cm (H) x 50 cm (W) x 50 cm (D).
• The pixel size of each image must be within 4000 pixels on each side.
  Please refrain from editing or manipulating the image to change the impression of the actual work, except for brightness adjustment or cropping.
• The number of images submitted must be at least 5 and no more than 10. (A total of 5 images are required: front, back, left, right, and one appealing point)
  Your work must maintain the same pose in all images.
• Parts created using 3D printers will not be subject to examination in the judging process.
• Applicants who apply to each course shall be deemed to have agreed to these guidelines.
• Image files exceeding the specified size and format will not be accepted. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

Prohibition

• The use of copied and counterfeit GUNPLA, GUNDAM/GUNPLA accessory products unauthorized by licensors are prohibited.
• If submitted works, parts used for the works, information regarding submissions such as comments or Builder Names fall under any of the following or if our company determines that they may fall under any of the following, submitted works may be deemed ineligible for judging (The relevant parts may be excluded from scoring.) or disqualified at any stage of the judging process. If they are disqualified, images posted on the GBWC official website and other outlets will be removed or deleted. Prize-winning works may also be deemed invalid.
  1. Use of copies or imitations of GUNPLA is prohibited. Use of plastic model kits or character products other than GUNPLA is also prohibited.

     (*Use products other than GUNPLA, even if they are Gundam related products, is prohibited.)

  2. Works which violate or may violate any third party's portrait rights, intellectual property rights such as copyright and any other rights are prohibited.

     (i.e.: No company logos, trademarks, or product lettering (etc.) may be used (unless prior permission has been obtained from their respected right-holders).

  3. Works with specifications that differ from those declared at the time of application.
  4. Works which are contrary to morality or public order are prohibited.
  5. Works which contain personal information are prohibited.
  6. Works which contain slanderous expressions toward specific persons or groups are prohibited.
  7. Inappropriate works which are not consistent with the purpose of this competition are prohibited.

     (including but not limited to political expression.)

• Please refrain from editing or manipulating the image to change the impression of the actual work, except for brightness adjustment or cropping.
• The use of the name "GBWC" by applicants for commercial purposes is prohibited, regardless of the method or manner of use.

⟨Notice⟩

• If any violation of the regulations is found, awards may be revoked during the judging process or after the results have been announced.
• Please note that we may contact you to confirm your work during the judging process. Please understand that if you do not respond by the deadline, your work may be excluded from the judging process.
• We may ask you to provide additional images during the judging process. If you do not respond by the due date, we may exclude your application from the judging process.
• Please note that we may contact you via the email address you submitted. If you have set a domain name restriction on the reception of e-mails, please remove restrictions on the "@bandai-hobby.net" domain name.
• Please note that any images which our company determines that may infringe on the rights of third parties, such as images with characters or people unrelated to the works in the background, will be disqualified.
• If you wish to use commercially available photo materials provided on the Internet for backgrounds, etc., please make sure to confirm with the provider that the materials are within the scope of the intended use before using them.
• Re-submission of applications that have been submitted to GBWC, GBC, or G40BC in the past will not be accepted.
• The competition does not prohibit double applications with other projects/contests (those held by other companies), but applicants must confirm for themselves whether other projects/contests accept double applications.
• We cannot respond to inquiries regarding the judging process and results.
• We will not be responsible for any loss or damage of the prize after it has been received.
• The contest schedule is subject to change without prior notice.
• Please note that all costs (including communication costs, etc.) associated with entering this contest are the responsibility of the entrant.
• Entrants must agree that all intellectual property rights (including rights under Article 27 and 28 of the Copyright Law in Japan) related to the submitted work, including copyrights based on the GUNPLA (including option parts), belong to our company or to a third party designated by us. Entrants shall not enforce their moral rights.
• The entrant will be fully responsible for any settlement as well as any cost which may occur in case of any disputes resulting from the submitted models.
  The entrants is also responsible for compensation of any damages to BANDAI SPIRITS and/or the Third Parties.
• If any substantial additions, alterations, modifications, etc. are discovered during the selection process, works will be disqualified at that time.
